Pastor George St. Germain was born in Manchester, NH. He was raised in a Catholic home and while in the Air Force in 1975, he heard the gospel for the first time and accepted Christ as his savior. Christine, his wife was born in Benson, Il. Her parents began attending the Baptist Church in town when she was 6 years old. At the age of 8 she trusted Christ as her Savior from sin, believing that He died on the cross and rose again.
Pastor George and Chris were married in 1980 and have four children. Their oldest son Phil is 24 years old, married, and is serving as a Youth Pastor in Sedalia, MO. Esther is 23 years old and is serving in a church in Grand Island, NE, with her husband who is their Youth Pastor. Hannah is 19 and a junior at Calvary Bible College. Luke is 18 and has entered the Air Force Reserve pursuing the field of nursing.
Pastor George received a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies at Calvary Bible College in 1984. He also worked on graduate course work in Greek in 1984 through Calvary Bible College. After completing college he entered the full-time pastoral ministry in 1985 that took him to NH, AR, IL and MN. His pastoral ministry was wide in scope from small town to cities and from youth to working with seniors. He managed facilities, administration, taught, preached, developed leaders, youth programs, counseled, developed programs for church life, implemented a preschool program, administered multi-staff, and worked in camping ministries in various capacities. Pastor George has also taken graduate studies in Biblical Counseling from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA through their long-distance education program. He completed a Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling through Central Baptist Theological Seminary, Plymouth, MN in 2004. He has a desire to continue his education and pursue a PhD in Counseling through Trinity Theological Seminary in Indiana through their long-distance learning program.
Pastor George’s ministries have included the following churches:
· Open Bible Church in Manchester, NH 1985-1992 (church plant)
· Woodland Acres Bible Camp, Green Forest, AR 1992-1993 (Served as Program Director completing two summers until the Lord led him to a pastoral position)
· Chesterfield Bible Church, IL 1993-2003 (Pastor)
· Grace Bible Chapel 2003- 2007 (Served as Associate Pastor then as Interim Pastor)
At age 16, Christine realized that the Lord wanted her to go to Bible college. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Calvary Bible College and graduated in 1980. She has also taken graduate studies in Biblical Counseling from Liberty University (long-distance learning).
Christine’s ministries included: piano, keyboard, organ, teaching K-5, discipleship ministry, ladies Bible studies, Sunday School. She has home-schooled as well as taught in a Christian School traditional setting K-5 and she has substituted in their church's preschool.
Pastor George and Christine’s recreational interests include fishing. Pastor George also enjoys hunting and has beagles that he has competed in with the American Rabbit Hound Association. Christine also enjoys cooking, crafts, being involved with music and sewing.
